Natural gestures, useful outcomes

Use two to five fingers with single, double, or triple taps.

02

Physical clicks

Map soft clicks, Force Click, or either stage to a chosen action.

Left and right tip-taps

Hold one finger and tap another on either side for quick directional triggers.

One gesture, one clear action

The shortcuts you already reach for.

Keyboard shortcuts

Use common Mac presets or define your own key and modifier combination.

Middle click

Open a link in a new tab without reaching for an external mouse.

Apps and URLs

Launch an application or open a trusted HTTP or HTTPS destination.

Advanced commands

Run a deliberate zsh command after acknowledging the security warning.

Simple ownership

Start free. Upgrade only for more active rules.

Save as many rules as you like in every edition. Basic limits only how many can be switched on together.

BasicFreeforever

Everything needed to confirm PowerTrackpad works for you.

  • Every launch gesture type
  • Every launch action type
  • Unlimited saved rules
  • Up to two active rules
Try every Pro feature for 14 days.No payment method. The trial begins only after your first configured gesture works.

Afterward, keep two active rules free forever. If more than two are active at expiry, your rules are preserved and you choose which two to switch back on.

Compatibility, stated plainly

Built for Apple silicon Macs with a built-in trackpad.

The app has a macOS 13 minimum deployment target. At commercial release, only the then-current macOS major version will be officially tested and supported. Older compatible versions may work and can be evaluated with Basic and the trial, but support is best effort.

Permission without mystery

Accessibility is for performing your actions.

PowerTrackpad needs macOS Accessibility permission to send keyboard shortcuts and middle clicks. Recognition happens locally. The initial release includes no third-party behavioral analytics SDK, and rule contents, commands, URLs, application names, and individual gesture events are not sent as analytics.

Common questions

Before you install.

Does Basic expire?

No. Basic is permanently free and supports unlimited saved rules with up to two active at once.

Is Pro a subscription?

No. Pro is a one-time purchase with unlimited active rules and updates throughout the licensed major version.

Can I test compatibility before buying?

Yes. Use Basic and the full 14-day Pro trial to test your gestures, actions, permissions, macOS version, and trackpad. Purchases are normally non-refundable except where required by law or otherwise handled by the merchant of record.

Does uninstalling remove my rules?

Rules are stored locally. Trial expiry or license-validation failure never deletes or corrupts saved rules. Detailed uninstall and data-removal guidance will be published with the first release.

Can shell-command rules run without warning?

No. Shell actions are advanced, execute with your user permissions through zsh, and require a deliberate warning acknowledgement during configuration.
